About the event
For almost two years our organizations have partneredto respond to these questions and better understand how AI systems can protect, provide for and empower children. During this time, the project has consulted over 200 experts across the AI ecosystem and nearly 250 children from around the globe to gather insights, best practices and recommendations to foster rights-respecting AI policies. To further advance this work, the event will gather the world’s foremost experts, policymakers, practitioners and researchers, as well as children active in the AI space, to share knowledge on key areas where AI systems are being used by and for children. Event highlights include:
- The launch of version 2.0 of the Policy Guidance on AI for Children and lessons learned from organizations that havepiloted the guidance.
· Keynotes and panels that will
o share existing evidence and research to help ensure that AI policies are child rights-based (day 1);
o formulate forward-looking steps and trends for child-friendly AI (day 2).
· Interactive breakout sessions in thematic areas such as learning, health, play and child protection.
· Demo spaces and networking opportunities to share and discuss innovative AI initiatives and ideas.
