Time & Location
About the Event
The scope and depth of the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies - both in everyday life and in traditional sectors and industries - is difficult to ponder, but it never ceases to amaze: these are very recent developments that They are permeating our society in record time.
The vertigo of transformations makes planning and reflection difficult, but the unintended consequences of their hasty applications are already beginning to be seen: algorithms seem to be reproducing and deepening the inequities of the status quo and the injustices that we experience every day. It is necessary, then, to draw attention to problem areas and practices that are reproduced by these powerful technologies.
In these meetings, we want to reflect on the dangers, often hidden, in the lack of a balanced gender perspective in the design and use of AI systems and mechanisms.
Through dialogue with specialists, we intend to offer an overview of the issue and reflect critically with a focus on the Argentine and Latin American context.
The meetings will be the second Wednesday of each month from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
The meetings will be broadcast live on the SADAF YouTube channel:
